Fredricksburg Square

Fredericksburg Square began life as a typical city row house built in 1838. Successive additions were added by the U.S. Postal Service as well as Elks Lodge 875 resulting in the largest assembly building in downtown Fredericksburg. It served as an Elks Lodge for well over 90 years and has played a key role in the life of Fredericksburg. For example, the building served as a soup kitchen during the Great Depression, the city's induction center in WWII and as a bomb shelter during the Cold War.

In 1996 the current owners, Van and Deborah Perroy, purchased the building from the Elks and immediately undertook a seven year renovation program. Although the facility has been beautifully refurbished the overriding priority was to retain the authentic historical charm that first attracted the Perroy's to the building. As a result, their appreciation for historical accuracy and quality furnishings is very much in evidence throughout. So too will your guests appreciate the charm of being surrounded by an authentic historical setting while enjoying the most delicious food prepared by the same chefs who serve    Fine Dining restaurant.
